New York
Most often the Pilot Boat New York is shown in profile, with another vessel shown incidentally off her bow. Some of the paintings of New York are depicted in starboard profile, as in this case, Jacobsen breaks from his usual port profile format. What appears to be a passenger liner of the Cunard Line is depicted off her bow. Learn more about this painting in the Posner Virtual Museum: http://www.sshsa.org/posner_display.html?posner_id=16
