Lackawanna RR steam ferry OSWEGO enters a slip at Hoboken, NJ. Originally built as NETHERLANDS at Newburgh, NY in 1893, her name was changed to OSWEGO in 1936.

S.S. New Bedford
Steamer NEW BEDFORD was built at Quincy, Mass. in 1928 for the New England Steamship Co.'s service between New Bedford, Mass. and the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. After European service in World War II, she was repatriated and employed by Sound Steamship Lines between Providence and Newport, RI and Block Island during the summers of 1949-1955 as shown.

S.S. New Bedford
Steamer NEW BEDFORD was built at Fore River Shipyard in Quincy, MA in 1928 for service between her namesake port and the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. During WWII she worked as a transport and as HOSPITAL SHIP 48 on the English Channel. In 1949-1955 she ran summers to Block Island from Providence and Newport, RI.
